What is PD and Why PD is important
Your PD or Pupillary Distance is the the distance between the center of the pupil in one eye
and the center of the pupil of your other eye. If you do not have an accurate PD
measurement ,the lenses in your glasses may not line up correctly with your pupils.
The pupillary distance(PD) plays a major part in deciding how correct will be your vision and
how comfortable will be your eyewear experience and so proper care must be taken while
measuring it. Using an instrument called a " pupillometer" is more accurate method to
measure PD. This instrument can be used by an optician to use reflections of light from the
cornea to determine the exact pupil center.
The other way measuring PD by you is using millimeter ruler measuring the distance between
the center of your pupils by a friend being at distance of about arms length away from you.
but it is not the most accurate way to determine your PD. It is recommended that you contact
the office where you received your last eye exam and ask them if they have it on hand or
if you can be measured.
You will be much happier with your new glasses if you have an accurate measurement.
If you are living near our retail store, please drop by us to measure your accurate PD by using
instrument called “pupillometer".In case of measuring the pupillary distance for kids,
who are less likely to stay still, it is always better to take the measurements through
professional optician
If you have two different numbers for PD, you have either been given both the
distance/reading or right eye/left eye:
ex) • 62 ( total PD = right +left )
• 60/57 : distance/reading PD
• 30.5/29.5 : right /left PD (this can be 60 in total)
you can fill out PD right/left separately or totally(seperate PD is more accurate)

I have a prescription for eyeglasses. Can I use it for contact lenses ?
While your eyeglasses and contact lens prescriptions may seem the same, they usually have
some differences. Since eyeglasses are usually about 12 millimeters from the eye,
the prescriptive power of a contact lens will be slightly less nearsighted. Most Doctor's will
give you your eyeglass prescription only. Doctor's office or Optician will then convert it to a
contact lens prescription. you may need to have the curve of your eye measured for the
contacts to fit properly.
No. Colored contact lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by eye
professioners.
We only sell you contact lenses through online that you are already wearing successfully.

Tips for Basic contact Lens Care
• Clean and rinse your lenses with the appropriate solution to eliminate the deposits that
accumulate through the day; these deposits are many and varied (from tears, fingers,
dust, makeup, pollution, etc.) and are invisible to the naked eye.
• Disinfecting your lenses will destroy harmful germs, and help prevent eye infection –
which can be serious – and ensuring safe wear.
• Before handling, inserting or removing the lens, clean your hands with a pH-neutral soap
containing no oil, cream or perfume. Dry your hands with a clean lint-free towel.
• Be careful when using cosmetics, lotions, soap, creams or deodorants. They may cause
irritation if they come into contact with your eyes.
• When wearing contacts, be careful using aerosol products such as hairspray.
• Always insert your lenses before applying makeup and remove them before taking off
your makeup.
• Remove your lenses if they are exposed to an irritant or harmful vapor.
• Always carry a spare pair of lenses with you.
• Always keep a pair of recently prescribed glasses handy for those times when you may
be unable to wear lenses.
• Always keep a pair of glasses in your car.
• Always replace lenses on time as directed by your eye care practitioner.
• Do not use lenses past their use-by date.
Can I continue to wear my lenses fter the recommended replacement period?
Contact lens materials vary, and lenses should not be worn for longer than the
replacement period recommended by your eye care professional. The purpose of
replacing contact lenses on a frequent basis is to allow you to enjoy the benefits
they were designed to provide.
A recent study conducted by the Centre for Contact Lens Research shows that silicone
hydrogel lens patients who are compliant with the manufacturer-recommended
replacement schedule have better comfort and vision at the end of the day than
non-compliant patients.
Can I swim in my contact lenses?
Contact lenses are porous and may absorb chemicals, microbes or other impurities
in the water, which may harm or irritate your eyes and possibly lead to an infection.
Additionally, lenses can stick on or easily fall off of the eye and get lost if eyes are opened
under water. Swimming in contact lenses, without wearing protective goggles, could lead
to an infection in the eyes, which if left untreated, could lead to a scar on your eye, or in
rare cases, loss of vision. .
Can allergies affect contact lens wear?
Sometimes people experience discomfort when they have seasonal allergies, which
can be aggravated by wearing contact lenses. You may have to reduce your wearing time
or discontinue wearing your lenses until the allergy symptoms have passed.
Are there times when you should not wear contact lenses?
• Exposing contact lenses to water during swimming or while in a hot tub may increase
the risk of eye infection from microorganisms.
• Fumes, smoke or vapors should be avoided to reduce the chance of lens contamination.
• In some cases in which protective eyewear is recommended or required.
Who should not wear contact lenses?
You should not wear contacts if you:
• Have an eye infection or inflammation (redness & swelling).
• Have an eye disease, eye injury or dryness that interferes with contact lens wear.
• Have a systemic disease that may be affected by or impact lens wear.
• Have certain types of allergic conditions.
• Are using certain medications, such as some eye medications.
